Illumination was founded by Mr. Sanjeev Khiara, who was a corporate employee for over 10 years. The zeal to lose weight and the passion for music and dance brought him close to Zumba Dance. He always wanted to do something different as he was fed up with his sedentary lifestyle. This is where Zumba clicked him and Illumination came into picture, hence he started Zumba classes in Mumbai. He now conducts Zumba classes at Kandivali (W), which is the main centre. Illumination trains around 400 people a week at different locations led by certified Zumba instructors. The motto of Illumination is to make sure that people vent out their stress and enjoy an exhilarating Zumba workout which is full of fun. This is the main reason why the number of members keeps on increasing week after week. The age group of the members vary between 10-60 years and everyone simply loves this great form and sways with fun to the international music losing thousands of calories. Sanjeev is the first Aqua Zumba instructor to teach this form in India. He was covered by Mumbai Mirror on 27th July 2012 for Aqua Zumba & was also featured on India news, Bombay times, Mid-day & DNA.
