It was in the month of November of the year 2000 that Sivananda Saraswati Institute of yoga was established.At that time there was not a single yoga centre in and around Jodhpur park.The institute has been established with an aim of spreading the usefulness of yoga in physical,mental and spiritual upliftment of mankind and treating and curing the mass by means if yoga therapy.The institute is a Government registered organisation.The Institute has a future plan for setting up a yoga and naturopathic hospital. Presently many people from in and around Kolkata,different parts of India and western countries have received Yoga training and Yoga treatment from here.
