4 years agoThe business ethics & practices followed by golds gym is very poor and unethical. Ms Alifiya who is the gym manager needs to be replaced. She has no business ethics, PR skills or soft skill training. She doesn’t reply to emails & is unbothered about her member’s issues. She doesn’t give correct information or apt information either. The gym management deleted proof on my account when I told them that I am entitled for a membership up until December 2020. Due to Covid-19, the gym was shut down for nearly 5 months & they have agreed to extend the membership for 3 months (90 days) with a RIDER that the shut down period of 90 days will be given only if the member renews for full year of 2021 paying ?24,000 IN ONE SHOT. All other reputed, standard gyms like cult.fit, etc have extended the membership for the entire 5 months of lockdown without any membership riders. Golds gym should learn from them. They are not providing any instalments facilities & their standard answer for any question is “this is as per head office instructions” and they claim that they aren’t the decision makers. But when we ask for the so called decision makers contact details, they failed to furnish the numbers & asked us to email them instead. When queried for opportunity to speak to the regional head or any particular head in Mumbai to whom we can address this issue, the standard answer we get is that there is no regional head for Bangalore & all golds gym branches directly report to Mumbai head office. When requested for Mumbai office number as the manager Ms Alifiya says she isn’t the decision make, she gave some numbers which were switched off & neither are they sharing the names and contacts of the Mumbai office people who we can share this issue with. This is very strange & shady. Everybody has different types of stress financially & mentally because of Covid, but this isn’t the way to run business at the cost of its own loyal customers and that too ask for a one shot payment without giving a differed payment scheme is really unethical and unfair. Any director who reads this must address this issue ASAP.
